Meditation and Reiki

About Vedic Meditation

The ancient Vedic Tradition and the language "Sanskrit" originally came from India dating back over 10,000 years ago. It has been passed down in its purity through an unbroken line of teachers and is still taught this way by Vedic Teachers in the 21st century.

It is not a religion, there is no need to change your lifestyle, religious practices, beliefs or philosophies.

Meditation


The great thing about this meditation practice is that it is easy, effortless and a very simple technique to learn. With the correct instruction and correct teaching you can meditate anywhere - on a train, bus, car at the beach or on a plane. It is completely mobile and once you learn it you have it for life.

Once you complete the 5 session course of instructions you will be invited to join the Group Meditation meetings that we offer.

Why Meditate

Vedic Meditation brings deep inner rest and relaxation to the mind and body which results in being calmer and stress free outside of meditation. Releasing stress every day brings greater clarity of mind, creativity and improves our health and well being. In todays world we feel the demands and pressures placed on us from many directions - our families, work committments and the enviroment we live in. Stress, fatigue and tension are held in the cells of the body and if not released can have major effects on our health and well being.

The costs are enormous to families, companies, to the government and to our society in general. Loss of productivity through sick leave and innefficiency costs millions every year. Studies show that people who meditate achieve more with less effort and experience significant improvements in physical and mental health.

Do you hear yourself saying “I’m too busy or I can’t seem to find the time”? This is a reflection of the busy lives we live. People say to me “I don’t have the time to meditate” - Meditators feel huge benefits, we say it becomes a way of life and most enjoyable. It is everyone’s birthright to be happy and to lead a full satisfying life. With meditation life becomes more orderly, the mind and body become quieter, contented, present and focused. We become less overwhelmed with the pressures and demands and begin to enjoy life to the fullest.

Reiki and Visualisation

For emotional support. The session begins with simple visualisations appropriate to your needs eg. to clear and calm the mind, strengthen, protect, and heal the body, to bring clarity and attention to the present moment, to energise the body, or to improve a sense of grounding and connectedness. The visualisation work is followed by receiving revitalising hands on healing energy (“reiki”) from the practitioner - nurturing and calming for a greater sense of peace and well-being. You do not need to be experienced in meditation.
